Hace un tiempo ya les comenté sobre WinUp, un actualizador para Windows XP. Ahra gracias a el aviso del amigo FrodoBolSonG me entero que ya está disponible la versión  2.3.

No, no se crean que Billy liberó el código de Windows, pero Open Source Windows es un sitio donde hacen una recopilación de software Open Source (era obvio por el nombre), especial para los que no quieren estar atados a soft freeware o shareware que la mayoría son una porquería én sí o meten alimanias en la PC.

Y quién está primero en la lista? Y sí, como no puede ser de otra manera está Firefox, el mejor! jeje.

Hace unas semanas les comentaba sobre iColorFolder, que es un soft que permite asignarle colores a las carpetas. FolderMarker va un paso más allá, además de permitir asignar colores, también permite asignarle prioridades, como por ejemplo, alta prioridad, baja prioridad, carpetas de trabajo, archivos importantes, etc. Este software es freeware.

Calculo que a estos momentos ya sabran lo que es WGA (Windows Genuine Advantage), el "método antipirata de Microsoft". RemoveWGA es una herramienta que remueve el WGA, como su nombre lo dice.

E sta nueva versión tiene tres nuevas formas de eliminar WGA, dependiendo de la versión de ella que tengamos instalada en el equipo.

Vía Digg veo esta página donde hay una serie de tutoriales para el programa de diseño GIPM (más conocido en el ambiente linux). Hay tutoriales para casi todo lo mismo que se hace en Photoshop.

Microsoft ha lanzado una aplicación llamada Microsoft Private Folder que permite proteger el acceso a la carpeta "My Private Folder" (creada con la instalación del programa) a través de una contraseña.

La aplicación se puede descargar desde el site de Microsoft o desde Trucowindows.net.

Ya está disponible la nueva versión 1.6 de mi cliente BitTorrent favorito, µTorrent. Tienen dos opciones, bajarse la versión NO instalable (170 kb), que se puede ejecutar sin instalar. O bien bajarse la version INSTALABLE (565 kb) que la instalan y queda como cualquiero otro programa.
